Payment Terms
Registration and payment are done on-line. Email confirmation indicates whether payment was processed successfully. Please review the email to ensure payment went through.
Payment will be divided into 4 equal instalments. First instalment is due upon registration. Subsequent three instalments will be spaced out and due every 10 weeks. Instalment dates will differ depending on when initial registration occurred. For programs where separate Fall & Winter sessions are offered, payments will be divided into 2 equal instalments.
Volunteer fee: an online deposit is required by all families who have a skater at the Starskate level (applicable once per family). For the 2026/27 season, we require a deposit of $250 that will be charged June 1st 2027. This fee will be waived if at least 10 volunteer hours are completed by an adult family member.
Session change fee: a $20 administration fee will be charged for any session changes after the session has started.
Credit Card default payment: a penalty will be changed to an account that defaults on its credit card payment.
1st credit card default: $10 penalty
2nd credit card default: $25 penalty
3rd credit card default: $50 penalty, plus full remaining balance
Silver Blades reserves the right to withdraw skaters, if their account is in arrears and they open a new profile to avoid paying the penalty.
Refund policy: Withdrawal from sessions will be accepted until the first business day after Thanksgiving, unless otherwise communicated. In this case, a pro-rated refund based on the number of sessions remaining for the season minus a $50 administration fee per family will be provided. The Skate Canada Fee and the Family Fee are non-refundable. After the deadline, no refunds will be issued unless it falls under the Silver Blades Medical Refund Policy. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing to board@silverblades.ca
There are no make-up classes (on ice and off ice) for missed sessions, for any reason.
Registration process 2026/2027: We are using a tiered registration system this year to ensure returning skaters secure the training time they need.
